Module 1

In module 1, I going through a series of formstormings. I took a few photos of different objects from each angles, these objects are identified as primitive shapes and complex geometry. It took me some time to decide whether they are the objects that are suitable for modelling. After I had my object selection, I chose some of the them to be modeled, there are the switch controller, mushroom lamp and the dog plush I modeled in cinema4D.

Activity 1

This photo of adapter was taken from above. It's consider as a cube This photo of adapter was taken from a closer distance, the details are visible. This photo of adapter was taken from the connector side. This photo of massage ball was taken from a slightly distance. It's consider as a sphere This photo of massage ball was taken from a closer distance, but from the other side. This photo of massage ball was taken from the closest distance. The texture is easily to see This photo of tape was taken at a 45-degree angle. The tape is standing. Both its inside and outside is visible. It's consider as a torus. This photo of tape was taken from a closer distance. Its like capture the view from inside. The tape is lying down, both the inside and outside is visible. The photo of glue, while the glue is standing, it consider as a cylinder. The photo of glue, while the glue is lying down. It was taken from behind, the bottom of the glue. This photo of glue was taken from above. The photo of a pyramid folded with paper. It was taken from above. This photo of pyramid was takne at a front view. The pyramid is lying down. The photo of a switch controller. Taken from the front view. There are several buttons and extrusions on the surface. Consider as complex geometry object. This photo is a back view of a switch controller. This photo is a side view of a switch controller. The inner side where it connects to the screen. This photo is also a side view of a switch controller, but the side faces out. This photo of a dog plush is taken at a 3/4 view. There are several appendages on it, consider as complex geometry object. This photo of the dog plush is taken from its below. You can see the tail. This photo is a side view of the dog plush. This is a photo of a pokemon figure. It was taken at a 3/4 view. There are multiple extrusions on its body, consider as complex geometry object. This is the side view of the figure. This is taken from above the figure.

Activity 2

The front view of the dog plush model The side view of the dog plush model The bottom of the dog plush model The back view of the dog plush model (without render) The model of mushroom lamp The front view of the mushroom lamp model The mesh of the mushroom lamp model The front view photo of the mushroom lamp The mushroom lamp photo took from bottom perspective The side view photo of stapler The side view photo of stapler, but took from a higher position The 3/4 view photo of stapler The front view of pincurchin plush The top view of pincurchin plush The 3/4 view of pincurchin plush The rendered switch controller model in cinema4D. The perspective shows both the front and side parts, the thickness of each component can be clearly seen The rendered switch controller model, more of a front view. You can clearly see the button arrangements The side view of the rendered switch controller model The mesh of the switch controller model The photo of my water bottle, took from a higher perspective The front view of my water bottle A different view of my water bottle The back view of 3DS The front view of 3DS The 3/4 side view of 3DS

Material Workshop 1

Here is the glass workshop banner in the AA wing, which is associated with the Craft and Design (glass) program.
There's a glass orb, the inner side is visible beacause its transparency.
The objects inside I suppose they are also glasses but with color.
Glass has the ability to reflect and transmit light following geometrical optics. This presents the color in a interesting way, absorbing specific wavelengths of light while transmitting others, creating its color. This exhibit is a set of furniture models, which is associated with the Craft and Design (furniture) program. Those parts with colors I assume
they are made by plastic, because considering those colorful coating and how they're reflect the light. The table surface and couch base are made by wood. This exhibit is made by stoneware clay. The program that associated with it is Craft and Design Ceramics.

Material Workshop 2

This object is made of metal.
Color: Grey or silver
Surface Texture: Roughly textured with intricate detailing, like feathers, wood base. Suggesting realism.
Material Plasticity: The material is hard metal so it's rigid, able to hold details in sculpting.
Material State: Refined, the metal has been worked into a detailed sculptural form.
Material Use: Decorative figurine, sculpture, kitchen utensils. This object is made of textile.
Color: Yellow-green with white rubber seam
Surface Texture: Fuzzy texture, slightly rough.
Material Plasticity: Semi-ridig, it's hard to bend but still compresses under pressure, elastic rebound.
Material State: Refined, the textile is processed for sport use.
Material Use: Sports equipment, pet toys, DIY crafts. This object is made of calcium carbonate, thr mineral that make up shells.
Color: Creamy white base with brown motting.
Surface Texture: Rough exterior, smoother interior.
Material Plasticity: Rigid, no plasticity.
Material State: Raw, Natually occurring shell.
Material Use: Decorations, accessories, ancient tools.
